Privacy Policy

RunDurance organises elimination endurance races on athletics tracks in the UK. For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 we are the data controller for the information described below. You can reach us at info@rundurance.co.uk.

• Account details — your name, email address, date of birth (to confirm you are 18 or over on race day) and running club.
• Runner ID — a permanent RunDurance number assigned to your account.
• Race data — entries, lap splits, finishing positions, elimination laps and ranking points.
• Orders — items purchased, quantity and order status.
• Payment records — amount, currency, status and a payment reference. We never see or store your card details.
• Messages — anything you send us through the contact form.

• To take entries, run races and publish results and rankings (contract).
• To take payments for entries and shop orders (contract).
• To send race reminders, result emails and order confirmations (contract / legitimate interests).
• To contact you about a race you have entered, including changes or cancellations (contract).
• To keep the site secure and prevent fraud or abuse (legitimate interests).
• To keep financial records as required by law (legal obligation).

Results and rankings pages show your display name, running club, finishing position, laps completed and ranking points. Your email address and date of birth are never shown publicly. You can mark your profile as private in My Account, which hides your name from public rankings and runner profiles.

• Stripe — to process card payments and refunds. Your card details go directly to Stripe.
• Our email provider — to deliver race reminders, results and order emails.
• Our hosting and database provider — to run the website and store your account.
• Event directors — the entry list for the race they run (name, runner ID and club only).

We never sell your personal data or share it with advertisers.

Account and race data are kept while your account is open so your results history and ranking points stay accurate. Payment and order records are kept for six years to meet UK accounting requirements. Contact messages are kept for up to two years. If you close your account we delete or anonymise your personal details, but results already published may remain in an anonymised form.

You have the right to access your data, correct it, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to our use of it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Email info@rundurance.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

We use essential storage only: a sign-in session so you stay logged in, and technical cookies needed for payment and security. We do not run advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

RunDurance races are for runners aged 18 and over on race day. We do not accept entries from anyone under 18, and accounts are not intended for under-18s. We ask for your date of birth when you enter a race so we can confirm your age; it is never shown publicly and is not visible to event directors or other runners.

We may update this policy as RunDurance grows. Material changes will be announced by email to registered runners.
